As a second generation Washingtonian, my early years were divided between living in the Highline neighborhood and Summers in Southeastern Alaska. It was during my time in Alaska that I started working as a commercial fisherman. This profession continued for seven seasons and kept me busy through graduation from Highline High School and into my next job at Boeing. In the early sixties my time was spent at Boeing until I joined the Army in 1965. My two years of service were spent in Southeast Asia. Brooke was born in Anchorage as a fifth generation Alaskan, and has lived all across the Pacific Northwest before she settled in Burien. After graduating from West Anchorage High School, she completed her Bachelor’s in Communications and Media at the University of Portland, and unintentionally discovered a knack for technical writing. Upon moving to the Seattle area she worked at Microsoft and AT&T in emergency communications and incident review, and currently works as a project manager for a company that specializes in public works planning and construction software......Continue reading

Russ has served his community faithfully for all his adult life. He worked at the North Highline Fire Dept. for 42 years where he retired as Chief of the Dept. After his service with the Dept. he has continued to work within the community. He has served as President or V.P. of many organizations some of which include the Highline Exchange Club, Volunteer Firefighters Assoc., King County Fire Chiefs Assoc. and the White Center Chamber of Commerce.
